Asheville Municipal Golf Course “The Muni”
I’ve played the Muni many times over the years and sadly the front nine was wiped out by Hurricane Helene. As of Spring 2026 work to repair the front has not begun yet. It’s such a shame as they spent a lot of money to improve the front nine. The Muni has a long history as a public golf course. It was designed by Donald Ross in 1927. I played Glen Dornach Waterway Links in Little River SC which is the first town north of Myrtle Beach. This is a beautiful tree lined course which feels like a walk through a forest with some golf thrown in. Holes 9 and 18 come put on the Intracoastal Waterway and the club house has a large porch over looking the Waterway. Definitely worth a round there. I played the front nine and hit my driver well.
