Well Boyz there are all kinds of critters small and large hanging around golf courses and many videos of gators, deer, geese and snakes getting after unwary golfers. In the South you really have to be careful if your fishing balls out of a pond cause gators might pop out or maybe a snake! Billy Horshel poked gator with his wedge in Palm Beach Gardens saying he’s not afraid their more afraid of us . Cody Gribble smacks a gator on the tail and Bay Hill Arnold Palmer invitationa

Golf is a big ole Puzzle that you can’t solve!
Golf is a puzzle that can’t be solved and when you think you have the pieces change. I fixed the slice slice BABY then there was the sway on my backswing, the early extension and lifting my head at the top of the back swing. Now I’m hitting my irons off the heel. Bad bad shots and going low and right. I swore it was hitting of the toe so I went to my backyard net and got out the foot spray( this will show you impact thanks Martin Hall) amd it’s all off the heel! A
A Tribute to Martin Hall
Martin Hall did his last School of Golf show on the golf channel and I’ll miss him and all his goofy funny gadgets and teaching aids made from the local hardware store. He’d use duct tape , boxes, gear ties, pool noodles, exercise bands and any ole thing he could find. We’d get a good laugh out of how he’d strap his self in with some contraption but, it made sense and would give you feed back for the swing. After 15 years and 450 shows with one million viewers at 70 He’s earn

The Humorous side of golf
Golf is a cruel task master and we need to laugh at it or cry! Better to laugh especially for us amateurs. I heard Lou Holtz ( College Football Hall of Fame Coach)talking to a crowd about playing with Arnold Palmer. Lou said he was so nervous he played horrible. After the round he apologized to Arnold about his poor play saying he’s usually doesn’t play that bad. Arnold said” So you have played before then.” That got a good laugh. “ I have a tip that take

Asheville Municipal Golf Course “The Muni”
I’ve played the Muni many times over the years and sadly the front nine was wiped out by Hurricane Helene. As of Spring 2026 work to repair the front has not begun yet. It’s such a shame as they spent a lot of money to improve the front nine. The Muni has a long history as a public golf course. It was designed by Donald Ross in 1927. Ross designed 46 courses in NC including Pinehurst and many more in the US and Canada. The Muni was established as a working man’s course and Bl

Glen Dornach Waterway Golf Links
I played Glen Dornach Waterway Links in Little River SC which is the first town north of Myrtle Beach. This is a beautiful tree lined course which feels like a walk through a forest with some golf thrown in. Holes 9 and 18 come put on the Intracoastal Waterway and the club house has a large porch over looking the Waterway. Definitely worth a round there. I played the front nine and hit my driver well. Pared three holes but the waste areas got me. Its that deal wher

WC Fields Playing Golf • Hitum?
Let’s take a good look at his swing. The first thing I see is he dips down and loses his spine angle as he goes to impact. Spine angle is absolutely crucial to a good swing. You must keep proper spine angle till after impact. Now don’t do the opposite of that and listen to your buddies saying keep your head down. Once you get past parallel your head must come up. If if doesn’t your body won’t follow thru and make a full turn.
